April Business Digest

Neighborhood News and Notes

Hope everyone is having a great April! We are counting down to Girard Avenue Street Festival in just three weeks, Fairmount Avenue Arts Crawl is just over a month away too (today's the last call for artist and vendor registration!)

It's been a big month for neighborhood businesses. Foobooz published their latest "Where to Eat and Drink in Fairmount" list, did your favorite make it? Coffee Cream and Dreams launched their coworking and meeting space at 15th and Fairmount Avenue while business-owner Jarret Barnett was highlighted by 6ABC at the opening of the UPS Store at 18th and Fairmount Avenue. Cultivaire and Plants, Etc. were both featured in this piece on "The Best Philly-Area Plant Shops," Cicala and South Jazz Kitchen on North Broad Street were included in this list of "The Best Date Night Restaurants," and the latter also got a shoutout on last week's episode of Abbott Elementary!

If you're enjoying all the blooms across the Art Museum District now, consider applying for a street tree in front of your home or business to grow our future tree canopy and keep the neighborhood cool and safe in the summer - applications are due May 1.

Lastly, we are hiring for a new Business Community Advocate - please share the job description with friends who have experience in Brewerytown and Fairmount!
