August Business Digest
Neighborhood News and Notes
We are celebrating the opening of several new businesses this month including Remedy Spa & Wellness on 29th Street, as well as Over the Moon Ice Cream, Brewerytown Bakery, and Platinum Fruit Creations on Girard Avenue, while Stone's Beer & Beverage Market is temporarily moving while their new store is being built on Fairmount Avenue. Do you have a business that's coming soon, just opened, or approaching an anniversary? Let us know so we can share the news widely.
Several neighborhood restaurants have been in the news including Spot Burger and A Mano. Later this month we'll have more on all the businesses participating in the Girard Avenue Street Festival - returning Saturday, October 1 - and ways to get involved.
Also, we wanted to wish a Happy 2nd Birthday to both Bold Coffee Bar at 1623 Ridge Avenue and Muse Yoga & Fitness at 1513 Ridge Avenue!
Lastly, we're celebrating the start of our first PhillyiHub cohort, the FREE six-week business assistance course open to current and aspiring business-leaders. Entrepreneurship is at an all-time high - if you have an idea you've been wanting to develop, apply to join a future PhillyiHub cohort at www.fairmountcdc.org/phillyihub.com.
