Tell Us About Your Business!
CoreFitness is a mobile fitness company based in Fairmount. We are a vibrant leader in the wellness community! We specialize in Group Fitness, Personal Training, Physical Therapy, Corporate Wellness, and Community Engagement. Our mission is to enhance personal health and well-being while fostering a stronger, more connected Philadelphia. We are best known for our outdoor fitness classes at the Art Museum steps. We've been in business since 2001. We provide services in your home, your workplace and your neighborhood.
What Makes You Stand Out?
We are a fitness company that truly caters to all fitness levels. In our group classes, individuals new to exercise, or returning after a hiatus, are working alongside seasoned athletes. Everyone is working together, inspiring one another, at their own pace and their own intensity. Because the classes are developed by a physical therapist, exercises can be safely progressed and regressed to fit everyone's specific needs. And we're mobile! We make fitness accessible because we come to you.
Why Do You Love Working in the Art Museum District?
A thriving business is all about connection. Business owners are committed to supporting each other; when one thrives, we all thrive.
Tell us about your founder. What was their inspiration for opening the business?
Gina Mancuso founded CoreFitness in 2001. While working as a physical therapist at Moss Rehab hospital, working with patients with catastrophic injuries, she opened CoreFitness as a way to work with individuals on the other end of the health and wellness spectrum.
Debby Gammons Brown joined the team during Covid - when she and Gina connected on the Art Museum steps. Debby aspired to be a group fitness instructor/personal trainer and did so with the guidance of the CoreFitness crew. She is an avid runner and a powerful force on the team. Debby is certified as a Personal Trainer, Nutrition Coach and Corrective Exercise Specialist through the National Academy of Sports Medicine (NASM) and brings her knowledge, experience, and unstoppable attitude to group classes and one on one personal trainings at CoreFitness.
Lindsey Arrellano (group fitness instructor) discovered CoreFitness in 2011, where her enthusiasm for wellness blossomed, fueled by the positivity, camaraderie, and support she found in the community. Lindsey went from class participant to CoreFitness coach and is now an ACE-certified Personal Trainer, Group Fitness Instructor, and Youth Fitness Specialist.
