Why Do You Love Working in the Art Museum District?
Lauren and Kevin have lived in the Art Museum District for almost 20 years. We grew GHP here and love our neighborhood community.
Tell us about your founder. What was their inspiration for opening the business?
Lauren began learning calligraphy in 2015 when she and husband Kevin became engaged. Lauren designed and wrote her wedding invitation, leading friends to begin to ask her to do things for their weddings. in 2018, Kevin had the idea of opening a Christmas Village style kiosk in an empty newsstand on the corner of 19th and Fairmount and to begin making Christmas Ornaments to sell. Lauren and Kevin operated this pop up from 2018-2022. Lauren has since opened her studio space as a place to meet wedding clients and hold workshops. She changed the studio into the pop up for Valentine's Day, Mother's Day and Christmas (November-December). Lauren loves to work closely with customers and clients to produce unique custom pieces and loves to engages people in broadening their horizons through artist workshops.
