Today is the final day to refer businesses for Fairmount CDC's tax credit opportunity, and help fund our work creating a safer, more accessible, connected and equitable neighborhood, and the city's most diverse business district.
We have several exciting updates:
This weekend's Second Saturday on Girard Avenue features a pop-up from Baby's Kusina and art openings at Together Skateboarding and Lather.

December Happenings
We want to make sure you did not miss all December's community business news. Last month saw the opening of The Boozy Mutt at 2639 Poplar Street, Together Skateboarding at 27th and Thompson, Natural Aesthetics at 1533 Ridge Avenue, City Fitness on Fairmount Avenue, and Brew Boba on the corner of 30th and Girard.
The UPS Store on Fairmount Avenue was featured by 6ABC. Pamela Hetherington of Sound Space Performing Arts and the Philadelphia Jazz Tap Ensemble wrote this piece in the Broad Street Review, following November's first Brewerytown Tap Dance Festival. Spot Gourmet Burgers in Brewerytown earned a shoutout from PhillyBite Magazine. Our web site has a feature on Nicole Singleton and Cadira Poindexter, the co-founders/owners of Natural Aesthetics.
Our Businesses, Our Stories
With support from Congressman Dwight Evans, the “Our Neighborhoods, Our Businesses, Our Stories” initiative has produced several videos to promote community businesses and help keep dollars circulating within our neighborhood. Check out their features on:
All Day Hoagies, 2809 W Girard
Soul Haum Yoga, 2719 W Girard
