The Fairmount Arts Crawl Returns June 26th!
















The Fairmount Avenue Arts Crawl will return this summer on Sunday, June 26 from 12-4pm!


The Arts Crawl is a free annual, indoor/outdoor festival for art lovers of all mediums, which transforms the Art Museum Area of Philadelphia into an eclectic showcase of local artists and performers in its streets, restaurants, businesses, shops and bars. The event features emerging and ground-breaking artists in a range of media including painting, printmaking, photography, sculpture, and mixed-media. Each year the event attracts thousands of visitors to the Art Museum District neighborhoods.

PhillyiHub Launches August 5th!

















We are currently accepting applications for the first cohort of PhillyiHub North. The free six-week program helps current and aspiring entrepreneurs take their business idea to the next level, whatever their starting point. Those just beginning can receive assistance formalizing a business plan, while already existing business-owners can explore taking their business online, opening an in-person location, or hiring staff. Working With Businesses And Residents To Foster Vibrant Local Neighborhoods

Our Executive Director, Patrick Sherlock, recently shared, with Comcast Newsmakers, Fairmount CDC's work to foster a vibrant local economy including PhillyiHub, our free business development program and special events. See the full interview here.

 

Comcast RISE Investment Fund

Comcast is providing $1 million in grants to small businesses owned by women and people of color, including Black, Indigenous, Hispanic, and Asian American owners, as part of the Comcast RISE Investment Fund initiative.

Comcast RISE launched in late 2020 to provide these small businesses with the resources they need to navigate the challenges of the pandemic. This round of the Investment Fund will grant $10,000 each to 100 small businesses in the City of Philadelphia. The application window is June 1-14, and the grants will be awarded in July. This is an extension of the current RISE program, which provides these businesses the opportunity to apply for marketing and technology services from Comcast Business and Effectv.
