May Community Digest

It's festival season! See you this Saturday at Girard Avenue Street Festival!

Then, May 21 is the Fairmount Avenue Arts Crawl sponsored by Adam Hutcheon State Farm Agency and presented in partnership with Retro Fitness and Green Mountain Energy. Both events are great for gathering neighbors and newcomers, inviting friends, and exploring what's new on our two business corridors.

May is also Small Business Month so every day is an opportunity to celebrate the small business community that makes the Art Museum District unique. Check out the neighborhood directory and our map of the local business love that neighbors shared with us this winter. Join the Greater Art Museum Business Alliance if you have a business yourself or reach out to me if you want help launching a startup yourself. Tag @fairmountcdc where you're visiting your favorite spot this May so we can spread the word to others.

Volunteers Needed

We're looking for Girard Ave Street Fest volunteers the morning of May 6th - to help welcome neighbors from across the city to our community.

Volunteers are needed to help with our morning litter sweep and event setup, organizing tables and assisting vendors finding their space and unloading. All equipment (and snacks) will be provided.
