The Monkey & The Elephant is Philadelphia’s first and only non-profit coffee shop employing former foster youth. By choosing to purchase coffee and baked goods from our shop you are also supporting the former foster youth in our program. Youth that go through the foster care system are at greater risk of experiencing incarceration, homelessness and reliance on public assistance or welfare. How the Relief Fund Will Help
The Monkey & The Elephant is beyond grateful to receive financial support from the Fairmount CDC Business Relief Fund. Since closing on Tuesday March 17th, we have found ourselves missing our customers and overwhelmed by the love and support that has been extended. The funds we received from the relief fund will be used to help us cover our fixed expenses, including payroll, since closing. We remain hopeful that we will be able to re-open soon and can't wait to see everyone when we do!

We are a non-profit, so donations are also welcome, and can be made here.
