Voter Education Guide

Provide by: Power the Polls

The election is only weeks away, and there’s a lot of confusion about how to register, how to vote, where to vote, how to fill out your ballot, where to drop it off, and more. This Voter Education Guide can help sort it all out and make sure your voice is heard.

REGISTER

THE LAST DAY TO REGISTER IS OCTOBER 19

  • New? You can register online here.

  • OR at a Satellite Location. Find one here: (Note: new satellite locations are opening over the next few weeks, so check the page before you go.)

  • OR at a registration table or volunteer clipboard near you.

  • Already Registered? Confirm or update your voter registration online: vote.pa/register

VOTE EARLY/IN PERSON

  • Any voter can vote early in-person at their county elections office or one of its satellite locations starting this week.

  • “Voting early” in PA means applying for a mail-in ballot, receiving it and being able to complete and return it all during the same visit. In Philadelphia (and some other counties), you can even register to vote, fill out and submit a mail-in ballot, all at one time.

  • Already have a mailed ballot? You can drop it off at any early voting location.

SIGN UP TO VOTE BY MAIL/RETURN YOUR BALLOT ASAP

  • Request your mail-in ballot here by October 12* to make sure they have time to get it to you.

  • What You’ll Need: To request a ballot, you need to be registered, and have a PA driver’s license or PA DOT ID or, if you have neither, a social security number.

  • Make sure your application matches your voter registration information.

  • Track your application and ballot. Make sure to enter your email with your VBM application to get updates about the status of your ballot.
