Three Quick Facts about Fairmount Pediatrics
1. When Fairmount Pediatrics opened in 2009, we were the first pediatric practice in the area to have a patient portal and online appointment scheduling. Now everyone has a portal, but we are still the only ones to have online appointment scheduling!
2. It was a patient's idea to have the little blackboard on the wall in our reception area, and all the toys were given to the practice as neighborhood children have outgrown them. Parents still drop off outgrown diapers to donate to other families!
3. When we started the practice, it was just Jackie and Dr. Lieberman, and we were completely independent. Now, we have joined the Advocare network, and we are a bigger team: three medical assistants, Shameka, Amanda and Trina; as well as Kristen, our full-time Physician Assistant; Dr Weiss, our half-time doctor; and Larah, our part-time pediatric Nurse Practitioner.
A note from Dr. Lieberman: My goal has always been to be the "village doc" for the kids of Fairmount. I love being part of the neighborhood, running into patients on the street and at the local eateries, and having my patients and their families see their friends and relatives by chance in our reception area!
