April Community Digest

Loving all the signs of spring: blossoms on the street trees, rain cancelling the Phillies opening day, and all the community events coming up!

Read on, and follow online, for opportunities to celebrate Easter weekend with our local businesses - there are special opportunities at Eastern State and the PMA too!

Sign-up to join the Philly Spring Cleanup on Saturday, April 6 - there are sites across the city; Fairmount CDC is leading the Girard Avenue clean and green project.

If you cannot make it next Saturday, you can support our cleaning and greening work at Quizo for a Cause next Tuesday, April 2 from 8pm at Era on Poplar.

Celebrate our newest business openings - Aiyah jewelry, homewares, and accessories at 1809 Fairmount Avenue, Flores Coffee Shop on 19th and Girard, G-Strength Logan Square on Callowhill and Mi Casita Spanish Immersion Preschool on Poplar - plus Stone's Beer & Beverage Market's new/old location on Fairmount.

We have a few limited opportunities left for sponsors and vendors at Fairmount Arts Crawl and Girard Avenue Street Festival - the deadline is Monday, April 2. There will be more information shared on these special events soon! Have a great holiday weekend.
