WellPoint Acupuncture

Thanks to the generous support of our community, WellPoint Acupunture is a recipient of the COVID-19 Business Relief Fund.

About WellPoint Acupuncture

WellPoint Acupuncture was started in 2005 by wife and husband team Teresa Tat and Adam Schreiber. WellPoint offers acupuncture and Chinese herbal medicine services. Over the years we have grown to a team of 5 employees - the two of us, two receptionists and one other acupuncturist. We moved our family to Fairmount in 2005 and while we have been in different locations over the years, 2019 saw us celebrate 10 years in our Fairmount Avenue location, which we took over and fully renovated in 2009. In addition to the Chinese medicine services, we also have two psychotherapists who offer counseling services in our space.

How the COVID-19 Business Relief Fund Will Help

We intend to use the money to cover our utility costs over the next few months. While this isn't all that exciting, it is essential to the continued operation of our business. The grant is especially important for us because we are a family-owned business and WellPoint Acupuncture is our only source of income, and since we closed on March 16th, we have zero income. Yes, we are a small business, but our employees, our sublettors and most importantly, our patients, are depending on us being able to weather this storm. We are so grateful to live and work in Fairmount, which has been such a supportive neighborhood in so many ways for our family and for our business.  The CDC has been a great resource for us since the day we opened, when they helped us beautify the front of our office with a grant to redo the facade.

How you Can Continue to Support WellPoint Acupuncture

At this time we are able to perform telemedicine consults and we can recommend and provide Chinese herbal medicine, supplements and lifestyle counseling for a wide array health issues. So if any members of the community need us, we are available in this capacity. The other thing that neighbors can do to support us is to stay healthy themselves, so we can reopen as soon as possible!!

To help more small businesses during this time, please consider contributing to Round 2 of the COVID-19 Business Relief Fund.
